Server-Side Includes: In-Class Exercise (posted 2 February 2004)

Look over Professor Vullo’s SSI Demo page, and/or the Apache SSI tutorial. Using those examples as a starting point, create a page that automatically shows the current date and time, and also includes a copyright statement taken from an external file in another directory.

Professor Lawley,

Is there a site online or a place i can obtain a similar demonstration you gave in class with regards to actions of how the client request information and receives responses back from server...etc etc (you drew a very detailed picture on the board during first hour of class - before we got into the in class exercise). I was under the impression that the notetaker would be Taking Notes of that drawing, so I did not bother to copy. It turns out she only wrote down what was said but did not copy the drawing and I would very much like to have a copy of the drawing to help me picture things as I continue to read chapter 17.

Thank you

With regards

Stephanie R. Chester

(plus, if you happen to have a moment during your office hour tomorrow (wednesday) or thursday, could you perhaps take a peek at my site and give me any feedback you feel is needed? Only if you have the time. Its not really necessary but I would like to hear of any problems that I may be overlooking.)
