content management systems

Weblog software can be used to organize information in a variety of ways. The software is essentially a "cms" which can be repurposed with creative manipulation of templates.

If you think of each piece of information as "microcontent" you can conceptualize its organization in multiple ways. Aggregation tools do this in a way external to the weblog, but the weblog itself can be reconceptualized.
